- 1 bowl white chhole
- 3 bowls water

- 1 tea bag(for giving chhole darker colour)
- For tadka in chhole
- 1 onion
- 2 tomatoes
- 6-8 pods garlic
- 1 " piece ginger
- 2 tb spoon cooking oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chana masala
- Others
- 4 slices wheat bread
- 1 onion
- 1 Tomato
- 2 Green chilli
- Salad (cucumber and onion)
Instructions to make to make Bread Chhola
- Wash and Soak chhole in water for 4 hours.

- Put it in pressure cooker and add salt, tea bag and pressure cook till 7-8 whistles and then switch off the flame and keep aside.

- Heat cooking oil in a karahi. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grated ginger and saute for 30 seconds. Add garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds and then add chopped onion and cook till onion gets translucent. Now add grated tomato and cook till oil leaves the karahi. Mix salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and chana masala and mix.


- Now add this cooked tadka in chana and pressure cook till three whistles. Chana is ready.


- Peel wash and Chop onion, green chilli and tomato in small pieces. Heat griddle and brush with a little cooking Oil and roast bread slices till pinkish. Now place it on a serving plate and place 2 tb spoon chana over it.



- Place chopped onion, tomato and green chilli. Sprinkle chaat masala.

- Serve this bread chhola with salad.
